Chiara Hoensbroech grew up among fields of wheat and sugar beets, historical buildings and secret passages. She spent her childhood on tree houses and self crafted rafts.
Today Chiara Hoensbroech tells stories with words and pictures. Her stories take place in fantastic and realistic worlds, they inspire dreams and reflections and give courage. Nature, architecture and music inspire her work and every now and then an animal from her childhood finds its way into her stories and sketchbooks.

Chiara Hoensbroech ist zwischen Zuckerrüben- und Weizenfeldern, historischen Gebäuden und geheimen Gängen aufgewachsen. Ihre Kindheit hat sie mit ihren Brüdern in Baumhäusern und auf selbstgebauten Flößern verbracht.
Heute erzählt Chiara Hoensbroech Geschichten anhand von Texten, Fotografien und Illustrationen. Ihre Geschichten spielen mal in fantastischen und mal in realistischen Welten, regen zum Träumen und zum Nachdenken an und machen Mut. Natur, Architektur und Musik inspirieren sie zu ihrer Arbeit und nicht selten springt ein Tier aus ihrer Kindheit über die Seiten ihrer Skizzenbücher.
